Privacy policy

Effective September 23, 2026

This policy explains what information DealerMaker (“we”) collects through DealerMaker, how it is used, and the choices you have. DealerMaker is a business service used by car dealerships and their staff.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and the dealerships and roles your account is given.
  • Dealership content: offers, disclaimers, branding (logos, colors, fonts), images uploaded or generated, website links, and the copy written for specials.
  • Activity records: a log of actions taken in the app (for example, who generated a batch or posted an offer), kept so a dealership can see what happened and when.
  • Technical data: information your browser sends when using the app, and data stored in your browser to keep you signed in and remember settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Google user data

If you choose to connect a Google account to post to Google Business Profile, you grant DealerMaker access through Google’s sign-in. With that permission we access:

  • Your Google account email address, to show you and your colleagues which Google account a dealership is connected through.
  • Your Business Profile accounts and locations (location names, addresses and website links), so you can choose which location each dealership posts to.
  • Local posts: we create offer posts you ask us to publish, and edit or delete posts made through DealerMaker when you ask us to.

How we use and protect it:

  • We use Google user data only to provide the posting feature you or your dealership asked for, and nothing else.
  • The access token Google issues is stored encrypted on our servers and is never shown in a browser. It is used only when you, or someone you have allowed to post for your dealership, takes a posting action.
  • We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • We do not allow people to read Google user data except as needed to provide the feature, for security, to comply with law, or with your consent.
  • DealerMaker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting. You can disconnect your Google account at any time on the Google page in DealerMaker; this deletes the stored access token. You can also revoke access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Posts already published to Google are public on Google and remain there until deleted.

AI writing suggestions

When someone asks for wording suggestions, the offer’s details (vehicle, price terms, the store’s name and location, and a website link) are sent to an AI model provider to generate options. Personal information and Google user data are not sent for this purpose. Suggestions are checked and shown to a person, who decides whether to use them.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that run the app on our behalf:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of the app.
  • Resend: sending account and notification emails.
  • Google: Business Profile posting (when you connect it) and AI writing suggestions.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Retention

We keep account and dealership information while the dealership uses DealerMaker, and delete it on request when the account ends, except where we must keep records for legal reasons. Google access tokens are deleted when you disconnect. A record of posts made through DealerMaker is kept so the dealership can see its posting history.

Security

Access to each dealership’s data is restricted to the people it is shared with, enforced by the database itself. Connections are encrypted in transit, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing support@dealermaker.com. Some requests may need to go through the dealership that manages your account.

Children

DealerMaker is a business service and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
